Salamanca - Square and Cathedral

The main square in Salamanca known as Plaza Mayor built by Felipe V.

Two sides of the square.

This and the photo below are looking up a street leading directly off the square

Another side of the square

Front façade of the square

Buildings around the square.

Never guess what they sell here!!

A Tower I couldn't find the name too.

Casa de las Conchas - more below.

Balcony inside the Casa de las Conchas

View from inside the Casa de las Conchas - top of the University.

These are some of the water spouts fed from the guttering inside the courtyard. The water falls straight down onto the flagstones.

The top of a staircase handrail inside the Casa de las Conchas

Salamanca Hostel outdoor eating, drinking and smoking area. We had it all to ourselves being a Monday!!

Lovely little bar with Tapas.

What a delightful Rioja this was. 5 years old.

Bridge built by Romans still in use.
