Milano Duomo, and St Michel near Giavenia

Stunning, stunning building. Took over 500 years to build.

Front doors all carved in 3 D relief. Each little square a different Biblical scene
or picturing a Saint getting killed or some such.

The shiny bits are caused by people touching and rubbing
either for luck or for religious reasons. I wonder what the original colour of this door was.

Another side of the Duomo Square in Milan.

The compulsory Statue in the middle of the square. This one of a local hero.

Front door of a Museum advertising Leonardo's works inside.

A couple of scenes from St Michel church looking down the Valley towards the Alps and France.

Misty day - difficult to show the massive mountains.

Ancient ruins of original St Michel.

Another of the Valley in the other direction. Each group of buildings is a different village.

St Michel

St Michel defeating the dragon. Dragon is on the ground at his feet.
